What is an aRound About?

aRound Abouts aren’t classes or performances — they’re shared creative playgrounds built around collaboration, curiosity, and connection.

Each session is made up of simple, guided rounds built around:

vocals, rhythm, instruments, and collaborative song-building

drawing, visual prompts, and creative exploration

movement, character, and storytelling

Sessions are designed so you can jump in however you feel comfortable — observe, participate, or dive deeper as you go.

Typical sessions:

  • 60–90 minutes
  • Small groups (10–20 people)
  • Drop-in friendly

Many aRound Abouts naturally lead into workshops, labs, and productions — offering pathways for those who want to explore further.

What to Expect

Each session is a mix of simple, guided creative rounds designed to be:

  • low pressure
  • beginner-friendly
  • social and interactive
  • different every time

You might find yourself:

  • adding a rhythm to a group groove
  • trying a quick improv moment
  • contributing to a collaborative drawing
  • helping shape a song or story

Or just enjoying the experience from the outside.

How it Works

You can:

  • Watch – take it in and get a feel for the room
  • Try – jump into a round when you’re ready
  • Join – collaborate with others in the moment
  • Create – take the lead or contribute ideas

You can move between these at any time.

Session Flow

Most sessions follow a simple arc:

  • Arrival & orientation
  • Warm-up rounds
  • 3–4 rotating creative rounds
  • Optional freeplay or share moment
  • Light closing

Typical Session

  • 60–90 minutes
  • Small groups (10–20 people)
  • Drop-in friendly

The Space

aRound Abouts are set up to support different comfort levels:

  • an outer space to observe and take it in
  • an inner circle for active participation
  • flexible movement between both

You can step in and out at any time.

Where It Can Lead

For many people, aRound Abouts are just a fun, creative experience.

For others, they’re the starting point for something more.

aRound Abouts often connect to:

  • Try It! Workshops — learn specific skills
  • Make It! Labs — create projects
  • Jamprov & Events — take the stage

You can stay casual — or go further.
