ID&D: Spectator Edition (SE)
Thursday at the RCR • April 16 • 6:30 PM
A live, interactive story where the audience doesn’t just watch — they help shape what happens next.
Part performance, part game, part shared storytelling — ID&D: Spectator Edition invites you into a narrative experience where even spectators have a voice.
- 60–90 minutes
- Drop-in friendly
- Small audience + players
- Facilitated experience
What Is Spectator Edition?
Spectator Edition is designed so you can enjoy the experience without needing to play a character.
You can:
- watch the story unfold
- suggest ideas or actions
- influence key decisions
- help guide the direction of the narrative
You’re not just observing — you’re part of the experience.
This isn’t a traditional D&D session.
- No experience required
- No rules knowledge needed
- No long-term commitment
How it Works
A facilitator (DM) leads a live story with a small group of players.
As the story unfolds:
- the audience can offer suggestions
- key moments may open up for input
- decisions may be shaped by the room
The story evolves in real time based on both players and spectators.
Participant Levels
You can engage however you like:
- Sit back — enjoy it like a live show
- Chime in — suggest ideas or directions
- Jump in — step into a moment if invited
There’s no pressure — just opportunities.
The Space
aRound Abouts are set up to support different comfort levels:
- an outer space to observe and take it in
- an inner circle for active participation
- flexible movement between both
You can step in and out at any time.
Where It Can Lead
For some, it’s a fun one-time experience.
For others, it can lead into:
- deeper story participation
- future ID&D sessions or D&D expansions
- creative exploration through other BUS programs
